Alboran Hydrogen S.p.A. is a project development company which main focus is the deployment and generation of Green Hydrogen and its related biofuels.
The company is active in the development, design, construction, operation and maintenance of its projects. Alboran Hydrogen is a subsidiary of EN.IT that operates in the renewable energy sector and aims to develop, produce and commercialising innovative products and services with high technological value in the energy sector. The company, in order to achieve the complete success of its projects, is led today by strong players, experts in the renewable energy sector – EN.IT owned by the D’Amato family, as well as the Pratesi and Spadoni families – with a diversified background and experience in different business sectors.

The project aims to realize a photovoltaic plant for the production of green hydrogen through the electrolysis of water in Brindisi, Cerignola and Taranto, Puglia.

The green hydrogen produced will mainly be introduced into the SNAM natural gas pipelines to form blended gas. It will also be used for local industries and/or used for sustainable mobility. The oxygen will be released into the atmosphere.

PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS
Saipem, Edison, Snam and Alboran Hydrogen have signed a cooperation agreement in January 2020.
This collaboration was then expanded through a new agreement and the creation of a special purpose company “the Green Hydrogen Valley”. This initiative wants to involve several local realities such as the Polytechnic of Bari, the Universities of Bari, Foggia, and Salento, but also regional companies such as Acquedotto Pugliese, Ferrovie Appulo Lucane and technological and productive districts.
